Happy Birthday to you!

I hope you will have a wonderful day today amongst your loved ones. Maybe you also find some private time, just by and for yourself, too...

If so, I have a small birthday gift for you today. It is a birthday exercise that I personally find really useful.

Enjoy, and all the best to you.

Exercise:

  1. Take 10 minutes. On a piece of paper sketch down the above "life clock". On your life clock, mark down (short line with description) your most important life events - from birth until now.

  2. Now, during the next 15 minutes (this part usually takes a bit longer), do the same for your future: What would you like to do with the time you have left? Assuming, you will make it to 84 years of age, which is the average life expectation in the western world.

Two miracle questions are especially powerful. Ask yourself:

  • Is this it? Is this, what I have been living for?

  • What will I do with the rest of my life?
